Returning to Ansurin from Sarnath, the Party arrives to find the Grand City still standing, however, a total of 66% of the 1.2 million population had perished in the fighting with the Undead Host. Miraculously the Undead Host had been beaten away and instead of a total surrounding of the city, the Host was nowhere to be found, but the Scar ( Nordrejur Plague) that had begun to form on the Nordrejur Lands now stretched East and South from Ansurin.
Speaking to the suriviors the Party finds that the Ansuri survived the Siege by using Greek Fire and after the Host had been disseminated they burned their own dead in the fires that raged beyond the city walls; through their callousness the Ansuri survived the Siege and the Host had forfeit.
The Party gathered up a myriad of supplies to form a caravan and head Southward, ultimately the Party would not return to Drybone Valley as Edrin was positive that the Hell’s Vanguard, the Refugees of the Crossing, and the Nordrejur fled South; instead the Party would travel to Lakrin, Azoth, Dolef, Portem Harbor ( Kenderholm), Orgrimmar ( Zeth’Kur), and ultimately commission a Steamship to Bastion.
Leaving Ansurin the Party made its long trek to Portem Harbor where they could be ferried over to Orgrimmar and then from there make their way to Bastion. While travelling Brian? gets Casey addicted to Opium and Casey begins to squander his money helplessly as he suffers from its addictive properties, Brian? also gets an entire festival of Kender addicted to Opium causing a minor drug epidemic in Northern Kenderholm. Finally after almost two weeks the Party made it to Portem Harbor, where they were harassed by Guards before being able to but passage on an Orcish Trade ship (by trading their passage for Horses) early in the morning and arriving in Orgrimmar by the Evening.
Arriving in Orgrimmar with their cargo of Books, the Party attempted to find passage to Bastion and amazingly the Hell’s Vanguard had sent a Gnomish Steamship to intercept the Party and Edrin in Orgrimmar and bring them to Bastion where the Leaders of the Varrangoin, Hell’s Vanguard, and Shuranti Alliance were meeting to discuss the Plague, Regeloth, and the Undead. After a several day journey over the World’s End the Party arrived in Bastion and presented their cargo to the High Council. After doing so the Party was released from their obligations so that they could help Casey, but were asked to return to the Hell’s Vanguard as Lord Brane said “the Fate of Existence itself rests upon the End of the Plague, and unfortunately it has bore down unto your shoulders”.
After temporarily leaving the Service of the Hell’s Vanguard the Party (consisting now of Brian? Casey, and Terra) made their way to Varanngia and rested before heading further to venture into the Shuranti Swamp to recover a cure for Casey’s Opium Addiction.
