A Shadow over Akeroth
The Clan Wars and the Rise of Lok'Tar
Following the Conquest and subsequent Burning of Evermare, the Orcs united as a Confederation, returned to Orcanum to divide the loot that they had gathered, however, even united as they were greed would still show.
With the return of the Grand Army of the Confederation the Orcs celebrated finally being freed from the famine that had plagued their land for countless years; while all was good at first the Orc Chieftains began to fight over the division of the loot. Alliances were formed and broken, entire clans were eradicated and civil war raged across the whole of Orcanum. In the end of all the violence one Chieftain rose from amongst them all and again united the Orcs together.
In the end one Orcs rose from among the rest, hailing from the nearly extinct Bloodletter Clan, Lok’Tar rose up and untied the Orcs under a single person creating the first Orcish Empire since the arrival of Man just prior to 1A. Lok’Tars’ rise saw a centralization of power and the formation of a new Grand Army, with this Lok’Tar led the Orcs forward in a Grand Crusade for Elwynn in a series of battles called the Strife Wars.
